Rajasthan Rural Non Farm development agency in association with Indian Council for Cultural relations (ICCR) have organized a 10 day long craft fair from February10, 2012, inviting artisans from different cities across India. It is a government promotional scheme in which registered artisans and government handicraft departments from different states have taken part.
Artisans from 18 different states are participating in the Craft Exhibition and displaying their respective craft and work at Jawahar Kala Kendra. The specialties include Brass artifacts of Tikamgarh, Dry flowers of Manipur, kathawork of West Bengal, Punjab’s Fulkari work, Haryana’s Patch work, Special agarbati’s of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthans Blue Pottery is among the main displays of the stall.
Total number of 150 stalls has been stuck there with 165 artisans displaying their handicrafts and art work. Dinesh Sethi, one of the organizers told jaipur .co, “The fair is seeing increase and good turn over, as many visitors are coming in every day. The fair will last for 10 days, and people are enjoying the art as well as purchasing the goods being displayed there.
