Photography has the power to transport—to new lands, cultures, and eras—and that’s just what Travel Photo Jaipur intends on doing. For the very first time, Jaipur will play host to an international open-air travel photography festival. Travel Photo Jaipur will offer a selection of international photography inspired by the notion of journeys and visions as an outsider.

The festival exhibitions will be staged at various locations across Jaipur, inviting visitors to discover the city’s heritage. The works will be printed in large formats, and will be complimented by an exciting programme of events showcasing and contemplating photography. The festival puts the spotlight on international travel photography with a series of exhibitions, workshops, and talks in the Pink City between Feb 5th and 14th. The venues for both exhibitions and events are primarily Jawahar Kala Kendra, Albert Hall, Hawa Mahal and the imposing Amer Fort.

Award-winning photographers like Pablo Ortiz Monasterio from Mexico (who has curated for Photo España and been on the World Press Photo jury), Mauro Bedoni from Italy (former photo editor of the international bilingual magazineColors) and Rahaab Allana (curator of the Alkazi Foundation for the Arts in New Delhi) will be part of panel discussions held at the Jawahar Kala Kendra.
This one will definitely be hard to miss!
