South India, A Mix Of The Old And The New

South India, A Mix Of The Old And The New

As someone who was born, brought up and only visited the north of India I had always wanted to tour the southern part of the country which they say is god's own country. But for me going around, visiting natural sceneries for 10 days would be too much and I wanted to infuse it with modern cities as well. I had heard many of my friends bragging about how cool and beautiful Bangalore is and how one must experience this city as most of the youth of this country has had. So I decided to do a South india Tour that covered Kerala and Karnataka with my friends.

Our first destination and the one that we were most excited about was the garden city of Bangalore where we stayed and relaxed at the first day. We had an amazing lunch of different kinds of biryanis and from the first meal my friends and I were in love with the food of South India. At night we explored the malls and clubs of the city and realised that the city never sleeps, it is you who gets tired. Next day visited the markets and some famous structures of the city and left for Mysore in the day. At night we had a relaxing time at the hotel.

Our day in Mysore began with the tour of the Mysore palace which had us all awestruck with its majestic beauty and lavish interiors, it was like we were inside a beautiful story. Other attractions of city were the Mysore Zoo, Railway Museum, Philomena Cathedral, Chamundi Hills and Brindawan gardens. Later we went shopping for incense sticks, sandalwood products, spices, stone carved showpieces and many other attractive items that the city is famous for.

Our next destination in the India Tour Packages was the little hill station of Ooty which we had heard a lot about and everything was true, the clouds literally touched the hills there and one could soak in the fresh air and the scenic views. The Bandipur & Madhumalai National Park were the places we visited there, although we wanted to just stay at one place and keep staring at the hills.

Our tour to Kerala began with the major port city of Cochin which is famous for its trade relations from the 14th century that were known to bring in the spices to India, the spices that makes Indian food what it is today, the spices without which Indians cannot even imagine having their food. We visited old Kochi, which loosely refers to a group of islands which comprise Willingdon Island where we went for an adventurous boat ride, and later went to see Fort Kochi and Mattancherry.

They say doing a House Boat ride at Alleppey is the best Things to do in India in which you can explore the natural beauty of this place while residing in a boat that has all the standard facilities for a memorable boat tour of the village.

The next part of our trip was a bit of India Wildlife Tour, that was based out of the beautiful city of Kumarakom. Here the Vembanad Lake is the natural habitat for migratory birds from South and Central Asia, and we did bird watching from the lake side.

The last part of our tour was a beach where we could do sport activities. So we went to Kovalam. Here we knew we could do a beach walk, beach sport activities or simply have a day doing nothing and just enjoying the time is the best amongst all. So we did all of these here and our trip was nothing short of a Luxury india Tour.
