The list of heritage hotels in Rajasthan is soon going to add one more premium name for the tourists in Rajasthan. The reawakened ruins of Tijara Fort in Alwar are all set to don a new mantle. The first and the only tourism project in Rajasthan under the Public Private Partnership mode, after several years of glitches and beating around the bush by the government, is likely to wake up to a new dawn.
The hotel is likely to spring to life soon with art décor interiors and it would be the only hotel in Rajasthan done by niche artists in the country. Tijara Fort will script a new story in restoration by Aman Nath and Francis Wacziarg of the Neemrana Hotels.
In a rare work of art, the Rani Mahal with 21 rooms has each one embellished with paintings, murals and craft work by the likes of Anjolie Ela Menon, Anju Dodiya, Amrita Shergill among others and two craft leaders Laila Tyabji of Dastkar and Jaya Jaitley who have commissioned master craftsmen to do textiles and crafts for the Tijara rooms to honor them.
The hotel, ready to welcome its guests, will soon serve the royalty par excellence in Rajasthan!
