The next part of your journey takes you to Kerala which is known as God’s own country which will have you living the best of life in the lap on nature with Alleppey, Cochin and many more.
Day 1: Delhi Arrival
Arrive at the Indira Gandhi International airport, Delhi from where you are met by one of our representatives who will guide you to your pre booked hotel accommodation for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing
Enjoy your day sightseeing the capital after a hearty breakfast. Explore the Old Delhi with the Chandni Chowk Market which happens to be the largest wholesale market in all of India and encapsulates the true Delhi spirit. Post that, visit Jama Masjid and Red Fort followed by a visit to Qutub Minar, a UNESCO world heritage site and Humayun’s tomb. Also, pay a visit to Rajghat, a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. Drive-by India Gate making a brief stop upon request and return back to the hotel to rest for the night and prepare for the travel next day.
Day 3: Delhi to Agra Drive
Continue your journey forward after a hearty breakfast and reach Agra by road. Of all the beauty and love that this city has to offer, check out the beautiful Mughal architecture at the Agra Fort and the Itimad-ud-Daulah tomb, which is also known as the “Mini Taj”. Last but definitely not the least, pay a visit to the monument that stands a proof of the undying love of Shah Jahan for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal: Taj Mahal.
Day 4: Agra to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri and Abhaneri
Begin your journey for Jaipur post a heavy breakfast. Before reaching Jaipur, you’ll be making stops at Fatehpur Sikri and Abhaneri. Fatehpur Sikri is famous for its Mughal architecture. It was set up by Emperor Akbar in 1570 and has some beautiful monuments like Buland Darwaza, Birbal Bhawan, Panch Mahal and Palace of Jodha Bai. Abhaneri is a small rustic village in Rajasthan known for its deepest and largest step wells around India, also known as the Tank Gardens. Enjoy the journey quite literally through the past to reach Jaipur and check-in at your pre-booked hotel upon arrival to rest and enjoy an elaborate Rajasthani dinner.
Day 5: Jaipur Sightseeing
A splendid breakfast, just as splendid as the city is, followed by a tour through the past will make this day definitely one to remember. Visit the Jal Mahal, a palace made of red and pink sandstones most popularly known for its jharokhas or windows. Visit the City Palace which flaunts a mix of the Mughal and Rajasthani architecture followed by Jantar Mantar which is a collection of architectural and astronomical instruments that were built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Followed by this, visit the magnificent and majestic Amer Fort which is an epitome of beauty and takes you on a trip back in time in a way like no other place can. Overlooking the town of Amer and Maota Lake, the palace provides an exquisite view. Also, make a brief stop by Jal Mahal on your way back from Amer. Get back to your hotel during the evening or roam around the local markets of Jaipur as per your convenience.
Day 6: Jaipur - Mumbai to Cochin Flight
You’ll be dropped off at the airport to catch a flight for Mumbai after a delicious breakfast. From Mumbai, you’ll catch another flight that will take you to Cochin (Kochi). On arrival, you’ll be transferred to the hotel for a one night stay at Cochin.
Day 7: Cochin to Munnar
Enjoy half a day of Cochin sightseeing with places like Jewish Synagogue, Bolgatty Palace, Mattancherry Palace, Fort Cochin, Dutch Cemetery, and the unique Chinese Fishing Nets. Continue your journey further and leave for your next destination, that is, Munnar. Check in at the hotel upon arrival.
Day 8: Munnar
Amidst the calm ambiance of Munnar, catch a scrumptious South Indian breakfast. Post that, start a sightseeing expedition to visit all that the serene beauty of Munnar has to offer. Pay a visit to the Elephant Lake and Mattupetty Lake. Mattupetty is home to as many as 100 varieties of cattle. The arm gives you the chance to feed and observe the cattle closely if you wish to do so. Also, visit the Kolukkumalai Tea estate.
Day 9: Munnar to Thekkady
Leave for Thekkady post breakfast and check-in at the hotel and relax for a while. Leave for the afternoon safari at the Periyar wildlife sanctuary which is a recognized elephant and tiger reserve that runs alongside the Periyar River. You can also go for a boat ride at the Periyar Lake.
Day 10: Thekkady to Alleppey
Leave for Alleppey post breakfast to board your house boat. This undoubtedly is the most beautiful part of the journey so far. Cruise through the pristine Vembanad Lake, the paddy fields and the narrow canal laden with tall fringing palm trees towards Kovalam. Lose yourself in the lap of nature with the picturesque hues and fall in love with the unseen and unparalleled views. Enjoy your overnight stay stargazing through the night.
Day 11: Alleppey to Cochin
Check out from the houseboat post breakfast and drive to Cochin to board the flight for your onwards journey.
