This is to inform all the national and international air travelers that Jaipur airport runway extension work will be under construction from July, 2012 to September, 2012 therefore all flights between 09.00 a.m. to 05.00 p.m. will be affected & rescheduled.
Travel plans are changed due to the runway extension. Travel plans of flyers from the city could be severely hit from July. The Jaipur Airport will partially close for 3 months due to expansion work of the runway starting from July, 2012. July onward all the national and international flights like Dubai-Delhi-Dubai flight of Air India, Muscat of Oman Air and Sharjah of Air Arabia would be transferred from Terminal-1 to Terminal-2. After the extension, the runway will be suitable for landing of Boeing 747 and Airbus 320.
During the period, operations at the airport will close between 09.00 am to 05.00 pm affecting the movements of several flights including the international ones. However, the emergency landings will not be affected even during the closure.
The major worry for airport is to handle the non-scheduled flights in emergency situations.
