With effect from 01 June, 2016, The Ranthambore National Park has opened for a full day as well as a half day safari from sunrise to sunset for tourists. The full day safari has been introduced at Ranthambore on the lines of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh governments. A limited number of 5 gypsies will be allowed anywhere in the park on the permissible tourist zones (1-5) within the carrying capacity of 5 people. Besides, there would be a guide on each gypsy that would be GPS monitored. During the full/half day safaris, tourists shall be able to enter the park 15 minutes prior to the entry time and exit 15 minutes post the exit time.
As reported, the full-day safari is for 12 hours i.e 6 am - 6 pm, whereas the half-day safari is for 6 hours i.e 6 am - 12 noon. As of now the jeeps are allocated by the forest department on fist come first serve basis but for the coming season online booking , 90 days prior date of visit, will be available. There will be no charges for still camera however video camera will remain chargeable.
