Mount Abu lies on the Rajasthan-Gujarat border, it is the only hill station in Rajasthan and is a perfect summer retreat in Rajasthan due to its comparatively cool temperatures. The town of Mount Abu is situated over the gorgeous Nakki Lake creating a unique spectacle to see in Rajasthan.
Every year during the month of May, Mount Abu hosts the Summer Festival, which is a colourful festival filled with joy and warmth. The festival commences with a procession that starts from Hotel Shikhar and ends at Lake Nakki Chowk. There is a magnificent display of fireworks throughout the 3-day festival. During the 2nd and 3rd day various activities take place such as skating races, horse races and boat races on the lake followed by a performance from the local band. The Panihari Matka Race and the Deepdan are must watches if you plan to visit the Summer Festival.
