Travel Plan was founded on 25th May 1989 by Mr. Virendra Singh Rathore, a visionary rooted in the royal lineage of Jaipur, with a deep love for Indian culture and hospitality. With a mission to introduce the beauty, diversity, and warmth of India and Rajasthan to global travelers, he laid the foundation of what would become one of India's most respected travel companies.
Having personally traveled to numerous countries and interacted with cultures across continents, Mr. Virendra Singh brought an international perspective to Indian tourism. Over the last three decades, under his leadership, Travel Plan has successfully operated over 5,000+ travel groups and hosted more than 500,000 happy travelers from around the world.
Beyond business, Mr. Singh is deeply involved in social causes, passionately supporting cow protection (Gau Seva) and promoting women empowerment through various grassroots initiatives. His belief that tourism can be both economically beneficial and socially uplifting remains at the heart of Travel Plan's philosophy.
In 2015, Mr. Singh’s elder son, Abhimanyu Singh Rathore, joined Travel Plan, bringing with him modern vision and global exposure. A proud alumnus of Mayo College, Ajmer, Abhimanyu pursued further professional studies in the United States, where he trained in international business and tourism management.
Today, he leads the Sales & Marketing division of Travel Plan and is the driving force behind the company’s growing global presence. Under his leadership, the company has embraced digital transformation, refined luxury travel offerings, and expanded to new international markets.
Abhimanyu is also working on an exciting upcoming project — Abha Estate, a premium hospitality and experience-driven estate in Rajasthan, set to launch soon.
