Amer Fort will be renovated under the iconic site scheme.
The tourism department will get Rs 325 crore to develop Amber fort under the Centres’ Iconic site scheme. The funds would be used to improve facilities and renovate the Maota lake and other work for a DPR has been prepared by consultancy firm Deloitte. Tourism director Bhanwar Lal said, “The works would include traffic management, for setting up a museum, conservation of temple complex and improving facilities. The funds which have been sanctioned in the Union budget will be released soon.”
