Chaitra Navratra to commence from 8th April, 2016

Elephant ride at Amber fort will be closed during the navratras.

Chaitra Navaratri,  and it's nine days are dedicated to the nine forms of Shakti in the month of Chaitra (March–April). The beginning of this Navaratri also marks the start of the Hindu new year as per the lunar calendar (Vikrami Samvat). The dates of the festival are determined according to the lunar calendar and so they vary each year. The dates for Navratras this year are 8th - 15th April, 2016.

There will be NO elephant ride available at the Amber fort during this period. Elephant ride will be closed from a day before the Navratras, up-till a day after its last day i.e 7th - 16th April, 2016.
