Goa airport has been closed till afternoon today, as a Jet Airways flight veered off the runway at 5.30 am this morning.
A Jet Airways aircraft with 154 passengers and 7 crew members on-board veered off the runway at Dabolim airport in Goa while aligning for take off to Mumbai early this morning today. The flight 9W 2374 from Goa-Mumbai skidded off the runway at Dabolim airport due to a technical glitch while aligning for takeoff. All passengers are safe and the airport has been closed till 12.30 PM today.
All guests and crew members have been safely evacuated. The Jet Airways flight whilst taking off spun around 360 degrees. The runway will be usable by later this afternoon. The airline is making alternate travel arrangements for its guests to/from Goa in order to minimize inconvenience.
