To increase air connectivity between major tourist destination cities of Rajasthan, the state government has rolled out intra-state air services. With the roll-out of intra-State air services in Rajasthan, major tourist and business destinations in the desert State have got better air connectivity, giving benefit to tourism, heritage and business sectors. The State government’s Civil Aviation Department signed an air services operation agreement with the Supreme Airlines. According to which flights from Jaipur to Jodhpur and Udaipur are already operational in the first phase, while air services for other cities will become operational now.
Supreme Air Lines operates intra-state flights for six days a week with a 9-seater plane. In the first phase Jaipur, Udaipur and Jodhpur were added. While Jaisalmer has been added in the second phase. Several places of tourist, religious, historical and heritage significance in the State would benefit from the new air operations. The Civil airport of Jaisalmer is now buzzing with passengers as the much awaited air services is to be launched. The booking counter is now open at Naal airport, Jaisalmer. Supreme Airlines’ will be starting services between Jaipur and Jaisalmer 01 November, 2016. The flight will take off from Jaipur at 11.30 am and reach Jaisalmer at 1.30 pm and will depart from Jaisalmer at 2 pm and reach Jaipur at 4 pm.
