The prevailing weather systems are fading away and we expect fair weather conditions for the coming days. Light to moderate rain and thunder-showers over Ajmer, Alwar, Bharatpur, Bundi, Jaipur and Sawai Madhopur districts of Rajasthan have brought pleasant weather conditions over the state. Major parts of Rajasthan have already seen a drop in mercury and temperatures have settled below 40°C mark. Dust storm and thundershowers at some places are likely over Rajasthan with squally average winds of 50 kmph gusting at 70 kmph during the next 4 to 6 hours. (As per the weather forecast for today)
Monsoon is just round the corner for the state and more hefty rains are expected in the coming days as Rajasthan has already observed first heavy shower of the pre-Monsoon season. Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Ajmer and Jaipur have already witnessed moderate to heavy rains in the last 24 hours. While most districts of Rajasthan have witnessed moderate to heavy showers, Jodhpur has recorded its best rainfall on Monday. The ‘Sun city’ has also surpassed its highest showers recorded in last 10 years!
Twin Monsoon systems on either side of the coasts will keep the Monsoon current active over India. Monsoon will cover most of the remaining parts of India this week. The cyclonic circulation over Punjab and adjoining North Rajasthan will persist for the first half of the week. Second half of the week will bring good Monsoon rains over Punjab, Delhi and Rajasthan. There will be a mix of pre-Monsoon and Monsoon rains over the plains this week.
