One of Jaipur's oldest heritage hotels, Rajmahal Palace is set to re-open this November. The luxurious property was built by Sawai Jai Singh II in 1729 for his wife Maharani Chandra Kumar Ranawatiji. It was converted into a hotel in 1979 and since then has been run by the Jaipur Royal Family.
Rajmahal Palace has been under renovation for over a year and is finally in its finishing stages and will be re-opened in November. The 20-room luxury boutique property will have of two suites namely, the Maharaja and Maharani, which will be in the price range of $10,000 to $15,000 per night. These suites will be targeting luxury travellers or the creme de la creme of travellers. The hotel was previously managed by The Taj Group and will now be managed by The Sujan Group of Hotels. The Sujan Group have five elegant properties including Sher Bagh, Ranthambore, The Serai, Jaisalmer, Jawai Leopard Camp, Singinawa Jungle Lodge and the Elephant Pepper Camp, Kenya.
