IRCTC to operate a special semi-luxury train to Rajasthan during the Independence Day long weekend.
Rajasthan is a great place to be during the monsoons, and keeping the long weekend in mind, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced a special semi-luxury train tour that would take travelers from Delhi to the famous historical and religious places of Rajasthan, including Udaipur, Ajmer and Pushkar. Slated to operate from August 12 to August 16, the 4 night/5 day train journey will start from Delhi's Safdarjung railway station and will cover interesting destinations like Mt Abu and Chittorgarh as well.
The all-inclusive package includes quality food, travel outside railway by air-conditioned vehicles, housekeeping and security arrangements. In addition, IRCTC will provide services of tour escorts throughout the trip. A special feature of the itinerary is that it is the only tourist train in mid-segment with an air conditioned dining car. The package will be available in two categories (I AC and II AC).
Please note, this semi luxury train tour is only for the Independence Day long weekend i.e 12 - 16 August, 2016.
