Jaipur's music lovers will have a unique musical treat to relish, as Sufi singers from various parts of the globe are all set to perform in the annual world Sufi music festival Jahan-e-Khusrau that will be held in the Pink City in October.

The musical festival will take place at the Central Park, on October 27 and 28, and will reflect, stimulate and engage dialogue regarding the relevance of Sufi music. The artiste line-up for this year include Zia Nath, an Indian Kathak dancer, Abida Parveen and Shafaqat Ali Khan from Pakistan, and Whirling Dervishes from Turkey.

Announcing the fest with tourism minister Bina Kak, the fest organizer Muzzafar Ali said, "One of our most important objectives for this festival has been to create a bridge between the east and the west and to make the audience realize its universalism”.

This fest will also develop audiences for contemporary Sufi music through attracting a broad mix of festival attending tourist, common people and contemporary Sufi music aficionado.
