Sambhar Lake, situated 96 km from Jaipur – India’s largest salt lake has been declared as a bio-heritage site. The big news is that the Salt lake is getting ready for the night tourism with Laser Sound and Light Show. After Amer mahal, Jantar Mantar and the City Palace, now Sambar will start the laser light and sound show on the lake. The latter, emerging as a tourist spots, will give a new identity to the lake. The history of the lake will be shown through the laser light show. The Laser light and sound show will be open for viewing at the Sambhar Salt Complex and further be advanced for night safari which includes a salt track, museum, cycling track and train safari for tourists and visitors. The project is scheduled to be completed by June 2018, while the work will commence in September, 2017.
Sambhar extends in three districts of Jaipur, Nagaur and Ajmer. The Sambhar lake is a magnificent array of bird life, both native and migrant, making it one of the best places in India for bird-watching. Now with the proposed plan of night tourism the tourist spot with be a mesmeric destination for night travelers by June 2018. Laser-light and Sound show will be one of the lake’s important tourist attractions, apart from bird watching. Other activities will includes bicycle trek, salt museum, night safari, and increasing the length of the railway track. Tourists will soon be able to safari by train, to be able to see the salt farming. According to the tourism department, Rajasthan, the lake is being prepared as World Class Tourist Spot.
