The district administration has suspended mobile Internet services for two days - from Saturday 6 am to Sunday 11.59 pm.
Curfew was clamped in parts of the walled city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, after a traffic scuffle escalated into a full-blown conflict between police and local residents. The Ramganj area in Old City remained on edge on Friday night following the clash. The area remained peaceful and no untoward incident was reported on Saturday. However, curfew has been clamped in Subhash Chowk, Galta Gate, Ramganj and Manak Chowk areas of the city till Sunday midnight. Mobile internet services will remain suspended to prevent rumor mongering for the same period. Police said the curfew would remain in force for 24 hours. It will be extended depending on the situation on the ground. And internet services would be blocked till 10 September -- Sunday midnight.
